Family Crisis Intervention Unit

Family Crisis Intervention Unit

This is a crisis intervention unit for all of Monmouth County.  It is available 24 hours a day.  They offer programs and services for families to help resolve crises between  parent/guardian and the child, serious threats, incorrigibility, runaway possibilities, and truancy issues.  The Family Crisis Intervention Unit also offers in-home, individual and family counseling for youth between the ages of 10-17.  They have case managers set to each family or youth who can offer referrals to other programs that may help the family or youth in need.   This would include NJ CSOC and PerformCare, which also have links on their website.  In extreme cases, this unit can also have court approved out-of-home placements for youths that may need a more stable or safe home than their current situations.  All staff members of the Family Crisis Intervention Unit are employees of the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County.
