MMC Children's Crisis Services
This service will screen children and adolescents for possible suicidal or homicidal threats. The clinicians who screen will assess whether or not the victim needs hospitalization or other forms of help. This service is a 24-hour in-home crisis stabilization counseling. There are many emotional disturbances that happen at home instead of in school, so this mobile screening from clinicians will come to a person's home and screen youths in their homes. This is different from a suicide crisis hotline, because it offers immediate intervention that will eliminate threats within an hour of being contacted. This crisis service will provide services for up to 72 hours.
