Effective School Solutions
More and more students are being recommended for therapy and out of district emotional help. Middletown has joined the Effective School Solutions program, which provides in-district therapy to students who need therapy and educational accommodations to help with their needs. As a district in the In-District Therapeutic School, Middletown is able to offer students recommended for this program individual, group, and family therapy, psycho-educational programs, parent support programs, monthly newsletters for parents and staff, interventions, crisis management, and handbooks for students. This program, while not run by the district, is housed in the district schools for immediate access to the student body, staff, and parents who need help. The staff is all certified as therapists, social workers, and educators whose main goal is to make the student body healthier and happier mentally which will make learning easier.
